If you are on a Cruise ship that stops at Santorini and you have a few hours to explore the island, Private Transportation Services may take you on a fascinating tour to the most interesting places, attractions and beaches.

Santorini Attractions

Although the sunset at the Oia Castle is the most famous on the island, it is surely not the only one –and not necessarily always the best! You can admire a spectacular sunset at Fira, Firostefani and Imerovigli (we recommend seeing it from Skaros in Imerovigli)! In order to get a different angle of the sunset having the whole of Santorini in the frame, you should go to Faros in Akrotiri, where you will be almost alone. Another option is to choose Profitis Ilias (Pyrgos), one of the highest spots of the island, or Vlihada beach, where you will be fascinated with the volcanic scenery changing colour nuances as the sun sets.

Santorini Island

The history of Santorini is undoubtedly unique from many different perspectives. The site of one of the largest volcanic episodes ever recorded in history, the region itself is thought to have become volcanically active some 3 to 4 million years ago. The most famous eruption sometimes referred to as the Thera or Minoan eruption, took place some 3,600 years ago in the late Bronze Age.

Would thoroughly recommend Nikolas for a private tour on Santorini. He was a lovely friendly, knowledgeable guide with great English. The mini-van was clean and spacious. Niko went out of his way to ensure we really enjoyed our morning and got to see lots of the sights - definitely the way to see Santorini especially if you have limited time.

My visit to Santorini was limited to less than 5 hours. I wanted to take sunsets pictures of world famous Oia and return in enough time not to miss my cruise. After arriving to Fira, I met Nikolas near the funicular top exit. I requested a private tour to visit several photo spots. Nikolas was very accommodating to my needs and provided a wealth of knowledge during our drive . He took me to the best places for my photos. Thanks Nicolas! Visiting your island was one of the highlights of my trip! I want to return and definitively will not hesitate to use your services again.
